シャイフル・アウリア・ガリバルディ

生態系における相互関連性や、死、腐敗、生命の象徴としての微生物に関するリサーチを起点としたインスタレーション、ペインティング、ドローイング、版画、映像作品など幅広い作品を制作してきました。科学と構築された美的宇宙との関係を見つめる活動を展開しています。

今回は、菌類が形成する独特の構造を参照した風景ドローイングや、人間の皮膚をクローズアップし、そこで生じている空気や水の動きを捉えた映像作品を展示します。

ミクロなものからマクロな世界を描くこと、またマクロな世界の循環をミクロな事象の中に見出すことで、ある種の「スケールチェンジャー」として私たちの視野を広げてくれるでしょう。

Syaiful Aulia Garibaldi

Syaiful Aulia Garibaldi creates a diverse range of artworks, including installations, paintings, drawings, prints and videos. His artwork is rooted in research on the relationships within ecosystems, and it explores the themes of death, decay and microorganisms as symbols of life. His activities explore the relationship between science and the constructed aesthetic universe. 

In this exhibition, he presents landscape drawings that reference the unique structures formed by fungi, as well as videos that capture the movement of air and water on human skin close-up. 

By depicting the macro world from the micro world and finding cycles of the macro world in the micro world, these works broaden our horizons by functioning as a "scale changer" that connects us to the micro/macro world.
