The Audacity of Color
“Martha’s colors struck me with their sheer audacity. Reds, pinks, violets. ‘Gefühlsfarben,’ as she calls them. Felt as much as seen,” Albert Kriemler says. For Spring 2027, the Creative Director collaborated with Austrian painter Martha Jungwirth, translating her singular color compositions into cut and cloth, where bold red meets mauve, yellow, and mint.
Inspiration
“My art is like a diary, seismographic,” Martha Jungwirth once said, a thought that resonated deeply with Creative Director Albert Kriemler. Her paintings record emotion, memory, and experience through traces, giving form to what is felt but cannot always be seen. For Kriemler, fashion holds a similar power: worn on the body, clothes give presence to what lies within.
The collection sees dressing as an intuitive act, shaped by instinct, habit, memory, and imagination. Clothes become part of the wearer’s life. Emotion given form.

A Painter Led by Instinct
Martha Jungwirth (b. 1940) lives and works in Vienna. For more than six decades, she has created visceral works between abstraction and figuration, recording emotion and memory through intuitive, physical gestures. Working primarily on paper, she leaves broad areas untouched as lines, blotches, and bodily traces emerge between chance and intention.

The force of chance, the trace of the hand
The freedom to explore is woven into the fabric. Developed in-house at the Akris atelier, hand-applied ribbons follow the impulse of brushstrokes, while reversed jacquards expose frayed threads and open structures. As in Jungwirth’s work, the marks of making remain, preserving the intelligence and spontaneity of the hand. A reminder that experimentation is elemental.
