土地の文化や生活、建築様式等へのリサーチを通して、かつての文明や文化における土地と営みの関係性を作品化します。出展作は、長野県に滞在した際に制作されたもので、真鍮フレームと長野で採取した石が組み合わされています。真鍮のフレームは、障子などに見るような日本建築におけるフレームのあり方を参照しており、日本における自然と生活の相互関係を想起させます。
Claudia Peña Salinas
Peña Salinas researches cultures, ways of living and the architectural styles of places, and captures the relationships between the land where a civilization and culture has flourished and human activities in her artwork. She exhibits a work of art created when she was staying in Nagano Prefecture. The work consists of a brass frame and a rock sourced in Nagano. The brass frame represents the frames used in Japanese architecture, such as shoji frames, to remind viewers of the interrelationship between nature and the ways of life in Japan.
